There are some lies circulating about 888. Yeah, what else is new right. These are fabricated (purely fiction) frail attempts to try and bring 888 down from his Highly Established Quake God THRONE. There is no evidence that 888 ever cheated, nor the player Dalude, Pasta Ssempa, or any other 888 affiliates. These are just ploys brought on by select haters to try and cast doubt within the Quake community. Haters are part of the territory when it comes to fame. 888 and Pasta Ssempa accept this reality. 888's favorite hater is PHATMANOVERCOAT. He has been hating on 888 for many moons it seems like; PHATMANOVERCOAT has stayed dedicated to his craft in hatership. He stays up-to-date with 888's website and just politely hates, but 888 knows he is a fan at heart. Not only are there claims about 888 using/used cheats, there are also many implausible theories (randomly produced by haters at will it seems) to justify why 888 is SO MAGNIFICENT. It appears they create these outlandish stories in hopes to sway the community away from the Greatness of 888. For example, "888 has such a great KDR because he blah blah blah fart blah." Nevertheless, 888 remains GREAT, 888's fans stay loyal, and the haters stay desperately drinking bitter knock off haterade.
888 averages about 3 frags for every 1 death. Lol, that's pretty damn good. Howbeit, what is really amazing is 888's stamina. 548,721 frags - 286,717 deaths = 262,004 clean frags. Lol, no one comes close to over 260,000 clean frags. These 888 bottom haters need to quit talking so much and start putting in more Quake work; and less working of their mouths (or fingering of the keyboards).
Pasta Ssepma was muted for reasons unclear. I was going to launch an investigation; howbeit, RailWolf removed the mute so I think we are good for now.
There have been quite a few players suggesting 888 have merchandise for Quake players to wear. I concur this to be just a splendid idea; a great proclivity to further root community camaraderie.
